Perfect Red Lips

Sometimes is not that easy to find best Red lipstick tone for your complexion. So here are some tips to make it more easy. 1- Take off any makeup, wash your face and take a good look at your skin tone.Is it : pale, olive skinned, tan, dark-skinned, yellow? 2- Now you need to determine what the "undertones" of your skin are. Are you pale with yellow undertones? Or blue? 3- Once you know your skin tone, you can start finding your perfect red lipstick.
Complexion and lipstick tones : If you are very pale - bold red lipstick is NOT what you want. Find shades that are more a mixture of coral-red or orange-red or peach-red. If you have darker skin you can get away with more obvious red lipstick. Olive skinned people should go for brighter reds Asian complexions will work best with red lipsticks that have a blue or purplish undertone.
There is another method that can help you determine if you are choosing the right kind of red lipstick shade and that is the jewelry method. Choose a necklace in gold and silver, try both on and see what looks best on you. If the silver looks perfect, that only means you have a cool undertone and if the gold looks better, that means that you have a warm undertone.
For women who have a warm undertone, go for shades like burnt red, clove and scarlet. While for women who have cool undertones, blue-based reds are the best for you or those that are close to the color of fuchsia.
Another method that you can do is the “white clothes method”. Look and compare if an off-white or a true white looks better on your skin tone. If the off-white looks good on you, you have a warm undertone and if the true white, then you have a cool undertone.
The wrist method! Look at your wrist. Do you seem to have rosy undertones, or are your undertones yellowish? Many pale women tend to have rosy undertones, which means they are cool. Women with olive or tan complexions are warm. When doing this, make sure that you are outdoors because you need natural lighting.
